Where the software is copied onto multiple computers, or is used on a network or file server, you must purchase a number of copies of the software equal to the number of users who will use the software.

CORIE is an acronym for
Contact Organizer and Related Information Environment
. It was primarily developed to manage, organize, retrieve and view all your contacts and related information.
Developed using FileMaker Pro, CORIE is built on the number one database platform available for the Apple Macintosh computer.
Once you become a registered user, you will have complete access to the software -C
allowing you to modify, add or remove any component of the software.
To become a registered user, please refer to the Order Form which accompanied your software package.

Before you start using CORIE, you should read the documentation that came with your copy of FileMaker Pro. This documentation will help explain how to use and work with FileMaker Pro and ultimately how to use aB

CORIE is very easy and simple to use. If you know how to point, click, drag and type, then you already know how to use CORIE.

Version 2.0 will support QuickTime movies and sounds, plus enhanced text features and scripting.
CORIE will be upgraded to utilizes the new features of FileMaker Pro version 2.0 as soon as it becomes available.

You can manage information more flexibly than when data is confined to B
a printed card or entered into a paper form. CORIE lets you rearrange the way your information is presented.

Records
The information you keep about one person, for example, is called a record. A record can correspond to all the information you fill out on a form.
A set of records makes a file.
Fields
Each category
of information in a record is called a field. For example, name, address and telephone numbers. A field can contain as little as a single number or as much as a several page document.

ARLayouts
A layout arranges the way your information looks on the screen and paper.

Your files are displayed in a window. Each window has a title bar that displays the name of the file.
The commands you choose ( except Quit ) affect only the file in the active window, so to make changes to a
file or its window, you must first make the window active.
You can hide any window to reduce clutter on your screen, move or switch from one window to work in another, and close the window when you are finisheC
d with it.
Making a Window Active
In many cases a window appears in the size and location it was lasted used. To activate a window:

Choose the file you want from the Window menu.
If you can see any part of the window, click anywhere inside it.
This will bring the window to the front and makes it active.
Hiding a Window
You can hidB
e a file's window whenever you want a file open but you don't want it displayed.
1. If necessary, make the window active.
2. Choose the name of the file from the Window menu.
The window is no longer on th
C$e screen but the file is still open.

Many commands found within CORIE are located on the screen in the form of buttons. These buttons in most cases are located in what's called an Icon Bar. The Icon Bar is located at the top and/or bottom of a winBndow.
To select a button, place the cursor on top of that button and depress the button located on the mouse.

FileMaker Pro will automatically saves changes to your file during your normal work.
You should always create a backup of your work before beginning extensive changes. Nothing can repair your file after you use Delete Record to remove records.

A power failure, hardware problem, or other factors could cause damage to your files. There are several programs available on the market that will backup your daily work.

When you leave CORIE and return to the desktop, you don't need to save changes because FileMaker Pro saves your changes frequently while you work and when you close a file or quit.
Use the Quit command to make sure files are properly closed.

Displaying A Record

The Contact database is used to store, retrieve and view such information as names, addresses, telephone numbers, network mail boxes, holiday or special occasion card and notes.
In addition, information storedB
within the contact database can be used by other applications such as CORIE QuickTime, Images, Call Back and Notes. This is accomplished by use of the record ID number.

Use the Image database to store, retrieve and view any graphic images.
Using the record ID number you can associate or link multiple images to a Contact record.
Any image that can be stored on the clipboard cB
an be added to the image section of program.
Use the commands, Cut, Copy and Paste, from the Edit pull-down menu to accomplish this task.
Images may be larger than the actual display. CORIE will crop and centC
er all images.

Corie! QuickTime version 1.2 will allow users of FileMaker Pro version 1.0 to add, manage and run QuickTime movies. Movies can be associated or linkedB
to a contact record using the record ID number.

In order to run QuickTime movies within Corie! QuickTime version 1.2 you need:
